Sustainability goals
Food Safety sub-goals 3 and 9
Sensilist will contribute to increased food safety and more efficient use of resources, as the method enables a more sensitive detection of Listeria that can be easily implemented in low-tech environments globally. This will be able to reduce the dependence on external analyzes and thus cut the waiting time and costs associated with sample shipments.
Food Waste (sub-goals 12 and 14)
Sensilist will be able to contribute to reduced food waste through more responsible production and less negative environmental impact, as a more user-friendly/simplified method will encourage increased testing and result in less food waste and safer food.
Sub-goal 3 - Good health and quality of life
Sensilist will improve food safety by enabling faster and more reliable detection of Listeria in food products. This will reduce the risk of foodborne disease outbreaks and ensure safer food for society.
Sub-goal 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructure
The Sensilist method requires neither advanced equipment nor high expertise and can be easily implemented in low-tech environments globally. This will contribute to increased independence for factories by eliminating the need for external testing, reducing waiting time and costs associated with sample shipment.
Sub-goal 12 - Responsible consumption and production
Sensilist will reduce food waste by allowing more precise detection of Listeria levels in products. This will lead to less disposal of safe food and contribute to more responsible production with less negative environmental impact
Sub-goal 14 - Life in the sea
Sensilist will strengthen the sustainable use of marine resources by improving food safety and reducing food waste in the seafood industry. By offering a simpler and less expensive method of analysis, Sensilist will encourage increased testing, better production conditions and reduced pollution of the marine environment.
